Frustration!!

Stephanie has asked me to crochet her a blanket like the one on my bed. I have never started a crochet off before and I am struggling!!

I can't work out what I am doing wrong, but I keep making the same mistake. Any crocheters out there able to help and put it in laymens terms please?

  1. Hi, Stephanie, Dreamer asked me if I could help you. It looks like you've gone wrong on your second round as 3 of your corners are correct but your first corner and joining to your first corner is wrong. I've got a granny along here http://mumssimplylivingblogat.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/mums-granny-along-5.html where you will find 5 simple lessons on achieving a square. My square changes colour each round see this tutorial on You Tube.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Yep - what Mum said. THe first round is fine, I think maybe you may have gone around the second round OK until you got to the last corner and then you have somehow droped down into the first round chain spaces?

Go and look at Mum's tutorials and can I suggest a really good book? It helped me no end! Really - I recommend it to my learners in workshops as it is really THAT good.
